laugh about it, shout about it, when you've got to choose.
what did you do last night?
made chicken with panko bread crumbs, roasted red potatoes + kale which turned out to be a soggy pan of bread crumbs, potatoes that had to be scraped from the pan, + an almost inedible green mass. had a horrible ordeal with my nephew which resulted in tears, snot + disillusionment. watched a kid movie with a fake sea creature chasing really bad child actors around a summer camp, washed dishes for the millionth time this week + peeled wrappers off crayons for our crayon melting project today.
a friend sent me an email this morning asking what i did last night.
once i typed my response, i realized how truly comical, ridiculous,
+ laughable life can be. after all, the only guarantee we have is the current
moment + it's always better to find the humor in it than to take it too seriously.

embellished journals.
here are some super cute journals i made recently:
making these is actually very fun + addictive. the photos really don't do them justice.

i am loving the quirky inspiration provided by this random sentence generator.
The pencil digests the potential riot.

When will an artistic accused discriminate a swamped imperative?
The surprising wizard arrives in the illustrated ribbon.
In the eccentric crime runs the inspired nature.
The starter treks behind the newcomer!
The imagined teacher scores the variant above the executive mirror.
The competitive daughter exemplifies an orange.

keep calm + carry on.
i was completely smitten a few weeks ago when i discovered this poster on my friend's wall:
but was completely saddened to discover the prints are really hard to find.
so imagine my delight when i found these precious little pendants made from scrabble tiles @ Home Studio on etsy:
