i really love this fantastic show with Toni Collette. the music is also great, especially the theme song, "you'll be fine". the guy singing Tim DeLaughter is from tripping daisy! blast from the past. i think it was my first concert.

one of my goals for this year is to complete a novel i've been working on for several years. + when i say "working on" what i really mean is thinking about + wishing for. i have neglected my writing + creativity for far too long. i just discovered write or die this weekend which has really been a fun tool to shake the cobwebs out of my head + get me started again. i'm going to write for at least 30 minutes a day + see what happens...

i have been reading these books.
i read twilight this summer + was not impressed but my students love the series, so i decided to create a book club at my school focusing on it. consequently, i have nearly finished all the books. i'm halfway through the last one. i find them shallow + definitely meant for teens but i'm enthralled by the story. it is quite dreamy, for the most part, if you overlook the annoying stuff. i wouldn't mind a (good) day in the life of bella swan, flying through the trees with a handsome vampire who had the power to keep me beautiful + alive forever.

also, this song has been on my mind lately. i really love perry's pig tails!
