my nephew is 8 years old! he owns my heart + soul. i would go to the ends of the earth for this boy. gbf: i love you to the moon + back + around + over + all around the universe a million times infinity forever!
i took a short trip to austin with my mom + nephew this week. we were thrilled to discover the resolution clock at auditorium shores. you can read about it here + here + see a video of it here. it was so magical to write our hopes, wishes, + resolutions on the clock + know that they would later go up in flames, released into the universe to come true...
let it go-the smashed word broken open vow or the oath cracked lengthwise-let it go it was sworn to go let them go-the truthful liars and the false fair friends and the boths and neithers-you must let them go they were born to go let all go-the big small middling tall bigger really the biggest and all things-let all go dear so comes love
2009 resolutions: run the flying pig half marathon. be patient. take more trips. work on projects instead of just thinking about them. read a book every week. see a movie every weekend. write every day. remember birthdays. live in the moment. pray positively.
I don't know exactly what a prayer is.
I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down
into the grass, how to kneel down in the grass,
how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields,
which is what I have been doing all day.
Tell me, what else should I have done?
Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?
