maggie smith who plays my favorite character on harry potter, professor mcgonagall, is showing impressive strength in the completion of filming the movie while battling cancer.
here's what she has to say on the matter:
"The cancer was hideous. It takes the wind out of your sails and I don’t know what the future holds, if anything. You feel so ghastly, you wouldn’t mind dying a lot of the time...The last couple of years have been a write-off, though I’m beginning to feel like a person now. My energy is coming back. Shit happens. I ought to pull myself together a bit.”

i discovered this gorgeous book today on the snail and the cyclops and immediately wanted to find one of my own...sadly, it has a price tag of $836.57. it will now be added to my long list of things to search for on my endless treasure hunts through book stores and garage sales.
