let this life be a lesson to all of us to cherish the childhood of our little ones and make it magical, empowering, healthy, and full of light so they can grow up knowing they are good, strong, beautiful, and loved.
sometimes this is all you need to hear. thank you, brooke for pointing me to these images! + thank you to my beautiful friend laurie who gave me a dose of healing words in real life as we sipped watermelon juice in the hot austin sun yesterday. + thank you to my mom who saved the day + gave me directions to hey cupcake! as i headed out of town. it's the little things that truly save you.
"The images in this series combine the shape of the butterfly – a fragile creature that represents the fragility of the natural world – with the texture of the printed map: a manifestation of man's absolute domination of the planet." {image surgery}
I don't know exactly what a prayer is.
I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down
into the grass, how to kneel down in the grass,
how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields,
which is what I have been doing all day.
Tell me, what else should I have done?
Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?
